Pricing
The current Merkium models are free to use through the API, permanently. You do not need a credit card or a billing account.
Free tier

- Free, with no charge per request or per token
- Duration
- Permanent for the models listed below. This is not a trial and the free tier does not expire.
- Credit card
- Not required. There is no billing step.
- API keys
- Free. Create them in the Console at chat.merkium.nl. See Authentication.
- Rate limit
- 30 requests per minute per API key (one request every two seconds). See Rate limits.

These models are free permanently. Use the model ID as the model field of a request.

Context windows, output limits and features for each model are on Models. Every model in GET /models reports "is_free": true.
Future models
Models released later may be paid. If a new model is paid, its price will be published here before it can be used. That does not change the price of the models listed above, which stay free.
