Pricing
The current Merkium models are free to use, permanently, in Merkium Chat and through the API. No credit card is required.
Free tier
- Price: free. There is no charge per request or per token.
- Duration: permanent for the models listed below. It is not a trial and it does not expire.
- Credit card: not required. There is no billing step.
- API keys: free. Sign in at chat.merkium.nl and create a key in the Console.
- Rate limit: 30 requests per minute per API key, which is one request every two seconds. Requests over the limit get HTTP 429 with a
Retry-Afterheader. - API base URL:
https://chat.merkium.nl/api/v1(OpenAI-compatible).
Models on the free tier
These models are free permanently, with the API model IDs to use in requests:

Future models
Models released later may be paid. If a new model is paid, its price will be published on this page before it can be used. The models listed above stay free.
